Karin van Lotringen deals with objections and appeals against government decisions regarding, for example, benefits and permits, and disputes with the tax authorities or debt relief services. In addition, she has her own law firm, which focuses on cases involving children: divorce, custody and access, and financial support. She also supports parents in supervision and care cases.
She co-wrote Money mama; gezin, geld en juridisch gedoe (Money mama; family, money and legal stuff) (2010) with Marion Zanders. The book (in Dutch) deals with the legal and financial arrangements unmarried cohabiting couples should make when they have children.
Van Lotringen is a board member of the Association of Social Lawyers Netherlands (Vereniging Sociale Advocatuur Nederland, VSAN) and participates in the VSAN’s Social Security Law Working Group and Family Law Working Group.
