Emilie van der Lans is an experienced and committed lawyer in the areas of labour law, social security law and pensions law.
She has been working as a lawyer since 2007. She is widely experienced in advising companies and individuals on employment contracts and remuneration, dismissal and severance payments, the consequences of restructuring/reorganisations for staff, rules and regulations relating to illness and reintegration, and pension issues. She is specialised in the public and semi-public sectors.
Van de Lans worked at Van der Steenhoven Lawyers in Amsterdam until 2015. From 2015 to 2018, she was employed as a legal adviser at the Dutch Ministry of Finances. In this function she advised on issues involving state-owned companies and helped to write new legislation.
She joined Hemony Lawyers as a partner in 2018. Her clients include semi-public companies, small and medium-sized firms, and individuals. She always tries to get to know her clients and their work environment. ‘I’ll be able to achieve the best results if I know what is really going on,’ she says.
Van der Lans finished a postdoctoral labour law degree at Grotius Academy in 2011. She also writes articles for different online media and has a seat on a local board of appeal.
